ELEVATED WORK PLATFORM (EWP)
Scissor lift and knuckle boom Elevated Work Platform (EWP), also referred to as Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP), training should be completed in accordance with the MEWP Code of Practice.
To help ensure your staff meet these requirements, CTLNZ provides comprehensive training in the safe operation of EWPs within the workplace. Training covers safe operating procedures, hazard awareness, pre-start checks, protective clothing and equipment, and practical machine operation.
ON COMPLETION OF THE COURSE
Upon successful completion of any of the unit standards within the EWP training course, participants will be able to:
Demonstrate knowledge of different types of Elevated Work Platforms (EWPs), their suitability for various tasks, and key safety features, including scissor lifts, truck-mounted EWPs, self-propelled boom lifts, trailer-mounted EWPs, and vertical lifts.
Demonstrate understanding of legislative requirements, including relevant codes of practice relating to the safe use of EWPs.
Safely operate an Elevated Work Platform in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations, within the machine’s intended specifications, and in line with industry requirements.
PLEASE NOTE
A maximum of ten (10) trainees is permitted per EWP course.
This ensures that both the training and assessment components can be delivered effectively and completed within the scheduled timeframe.
